Woke from a nap today to find the bathroom door closed, and when I opened it I smiled from ear to ear. Every idea--with every good intention--seems to blow up in my face with kids 💣😱. It's either Messy Monday, Tantrum Tuesday, Wacky Wednesday, Tired Thursday, Freak out Friday, Sassy Saturday, or Shitter Sunday (and I mean that literally--endless poo). If you're in a hurry to get some where with kids, forget it. If you think taking them to the beach or an amusement park is going to dub you "rockstar mom" you have pretty much have shot down your own expectations before stepping one foot in the sand. Every day is met with a plethora of unexpected emotions. With that said...I love these little balls of shiz 👿😇😡😭😳😴😤👹💩 ‪#‎keeponrockinmoms‬

Whenever I feel my day not quite turning out how I thought it would, I think of Phil Miller and realize my day's not that bad after all.

I'm nearing the last episode and I have to say I nearly peed my pants when I watched episode 1...oh the fate of poor Phil 

Crude and inappropriate as it may be (of which I advise those who do not like crude and inappropriate to disregard) it's literally one of the only comedy's that makes me laugh out loud. 

Here's to Carol and Phil and your absolutely fantastic one liners: "quite skunkin around, you dirty skunk", "freakin Todd", "carol please, it's me, the tandyman," "I freakin beefed this one", "Carebear" 😂😂😂 ‪#‎rad‬

We've had a great run with these awesome Elders—Elder Johnson from Ghana and Elder Neilsen from Idaho. They both are serving out their last few days and last month of their 2 year missions. So proud of them and the great work the've done spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ. Elder Johnson has such an incredible story. He lost both parents at a young age, was in and out of foster care and ended up living on the streets of Ghana as a young boy (playing soccer, playing the drums—his two passions in life). A mother from Utah—who had been doing service work in Ghana— met him and had such a special feeling about him. She phoned her husband and told him she wanted to adopt him. A year later she went back to get him—as a teen—and he's been living in Alpine, UT ever since. Being "from UT", he's grown accustomed to Cafe Rio (who isn't?). When he saw that I made Cafe Rio's pork salad/burritos for dinner, he was soooo excited—he had to have a pic to send home to his mom 😄😄. We love having the missionaries in our home—they leave such a beautiful spirit and they are so great with the boys. Of course Elder Johnson thinks Becks is the coolest because he admires David Beckham so much. He hopes to return home and play professional soccer. ‪#‎Sunday‬ ‪#‎dinner‬ ‪#‎caferio‬ ‪#‎elders‬ ‪#‎missionaries‬‪#‎thechurchofjesuschristoflatterdaysaints‬ ‪#‎ghana‬ ‪#‎africa‬

Becks LOVED attending his preschool summer party: pizza, s'mores, slip and slide, bounce slide. He loves school. Every day I pick him up he says "I just want to keep going back to school the next day and the next day and the next" 😀. His teachers love him and shout his praises daily. They told me how shocked they were with how smart he was at 4—how good he is at memorizing and learning. Right now he's learning Spanish...he raises his hand for every answer 😂. I'm so proud of him! He is our little intellect ‪#‎beckahmmoment‬ ‪#‎preschool‬ ‪#‎summer‬ ‪#‎party‬ ‪#‎smartiepants‬

Morning walks with the boys (and monkey :)

Brother can be such a boss 

Amari has the best sense of humor.  Lately he has wanted me to do the following over and over and he cracks up like crazy: give his monkey kisses (eskimo, butterfly, and regular), make loud monkey noises (he will come to me first thing in the morning with his monkey, making monkey noises, telling me he wants me to make mine :), talking in a weird voice and doing scenarios and then saying "I am just going to go and cry" while rubbing my eyes like I am crying; pretending to bonk heads on each other or any thing.  There was one day, after quiet time, when he had the giggles and was hysterically laughing till literally bed time.  I love these moments with him, they make me smile. I hope and pray he always keeps his great sense of humor!

HA! I had to repost this quote my sister posted because when I saw this I laughed out loud and said, "no really it should read, 'Sunday's should come with a fast forward button." Within 5 minutes Amari had literally repainted his walls, reupholstered his chair, and left his mark on just about everything else in his room with POOP. It took Mike an hour and a few swear words later to clean it it all up. If that wasn't enough (as I'm preparing this grand meal for the missionaries and a family friend) he decided the cats liter box was a sand box...and if THAT wasn't enough, he then decided to paint the town (aka Becks city backdrop) red with marker. I do not believe in spanking but my hand was a millisecond close to meeting his bum. 5 minutes, it took him 5 minutes to do this kind of 2 year old mayhem (and all of this was on top of fasting for 24 hrs). All I kept thinking was "who are you and what is going through your head?" Sunday's aka a day of rest and spiritual edification....ya right. Mike was away on comp week and he wasn't selling real well and was getting down.  I wish I could have been there to help in some way.  I put this slide show together to remind him to not take life so seriously and remember what was important. I loved looking back at our fun times together! It reminded me why I fell in love with him!
