8 week tidbits

You get so excited when you see Mommy and Daddy. You LOVE looking at our faces.  Your face lights up when you smile (which you started doing at 7 weeks); it melts my heart every time!

You have started to get a bit more fussy and it has been hard to keep you on a schedule; the "crying it out method" definitely has to start :).

You are a bit intense when you see Mommy and Daddy; your body gets all rigid, you try standing up and actually walking, you start shaking, and you start talking/grunting like crazy. . . you get so excited!

 Love all of Amari's faces!!

His smile lights up my life!!

Little "Amari Ari"

You are so incredibly strong!

Day off with Daddy

Your Daddy is such a hard worker Amari.  He has been working so hard to provide a steady and lasting income for our little family and to provide us with the best life possible.  He has had to make a lot of sacrifices in order to do this, including moving us 3 times in a year and working 6 days a week with rarely a day off other than Sundays.  He has been working this schedule all year round.  This has also been quite a sacrifice on my part and on your part.  The people he works for don't have their priorities straight and they have tried to entice us with more money in order to get your Daddy to work and not take time off, well, your Daddy did the most amazing, attractive, and wonderful thing, he exercised integrity and proved where his priorities lay: with his family, and took an extra day off to spend with us. This is a post I made on FB; I was so proud of your Daddy!

I am so GRATEFUL to have a husband who has his priorities straight and who exercised a massive amount of integrity showing that there isn't a price for everything in life, especially when it comes to family. In the five years we have been married I have never been more grateful, in love, and more attracted to him! He is as equally a supportive husband and devoted father as he is a hard worker and provider.

My little family is blessed to have such a great man in our lives! We love you so much Mike Moncur, and your little boys appreciate you spending the day with them, and creating memories that are more lasting than anything monetary.

Here are pictures of our fun day off together! Remember this Amari: money can always be made and money will come and go; you can never get time back; memories are forever!
