This little guy named Amari is the sweetest little spirit. He seems to always be grinning about something. As of late he loves looking at Beckahm's stuffed animals. He will lay on his pillow by himself and stair at Beck's monkey or giraffe in awe and just smile and stick out his tongue in enthusiasm.
A few other things about Amari at 11 weeks:
He is so interactive with me; when I sing him lullabies he will sing with me and "ohh and ahh" at me while grinning from ear to ear.
Right now he seems to be a mamas boy. He gets so excited when he sees me and he gives me the best smiles (his smile really lights up his entire face. It is the best smile EVER)! His smile lights up my day! He is always smiling at me.
He is so particular about where he sleeps in his crib. In fact he just started army crawling a few weeks ago because each time we would put him at the end of his bed he wanted to be in the corner up at the top of the crib right up against his pillows. I have noticed when putting him down on his tummy (the position he prefers sleeping in) that he will hold his head up, look around his crib first, and make sure he is by his pillows before settling down to sleep. He also opens and closes his hands, like he is trying to grab his sheets, when he goes to sleep. He does awesome sleeping on his own. I lay him in his bed semi-alseep and I put the binkie in twice for him and he is good to go!
He admires his big brother and LOVES watching his every move! Some times I will catch him just watching him, beaming (Beckahm isn't even aware) :)
He is quite good with his binkie. He spits it out when he is done with it and only wants it for nap/bedtime.
He is such and easy going baby, and he is so easy to read. I know exactly when he is tired, when he is full, when he is pooping, etc.
He does get bent out of shape if you don't put him down a few minutes after he grows tired. His high pitched cry he had at birth has now turned into this cat like cry. It is seriously the most adorable sounding thing; I have never heard anything like it.
He already wants to walk and is super strong.
He also is so great with a schedule and the order in which we do things (how I put him to sleep, etc.). He is already sleeping from 7-6 am. AND when he wakes at 6 he will lay in his crib and talk to himself and look around all happy for about 10 minutes. He is also so good at putting himself to sleep.
He loves to cuddle with his blanket (he holds it tight between his hands)
He loves his bath and he knows, when he hears me filling up his tub when it is bath time. He gets such a huge grin on his cute face.
He has found his toes to be quite intriguing.
At around 3 1/2 months he started becoming more fussy, wanting to chew on every thing. I think he is teething.
Right now he is 12lbs and 38". What a big boy his is becoming!
