Pulling out this box is my favorite thing!
I love that they love decorating as much as I do!
Our Annual Halloween Party with Friends. I love this time of year! The kids always have so much fun playing Halloween games (grab the ghost, pin the spider on the web, bobbing for donuts and apples, and the mummy TP race). Chili and breadsticks for the adults, and ending the night with a lot of socializing and making Smores!
Pumpkin Patch with G+G
We couldn't believe there was an elephant there!
Decorating Pumpkins with G+G. Grandma got these white ones for the kids to melt crayons on—so cool!
Trunk or Treat. This wasn't my costume this year but Amari is so obsessed with Transformers. He was beyond excited when I pulled out Optimus Prime. He wanted me to wear it every day. He even dressed me when it was time to get dressed up :)
I have said it before and I’ll say it a million times over: our library is the best! They put on so many events throughout the year—on a weekly basis—all free! They go above and beyond for every event they put together. We may just never leave the state of Alabama simply for the sake of our library being like a second home to us! 😂
The kids were spoiled with games, crafts, so many prizes, pictures with every superhero you can imagine, face painting, a glow stick dance party, sub sandwiches, fruit snacks, trail mix, Oreos they could crush with Hulk hands to put in green pudding....even the fire department showed up to let the kids get in their fire truck! So so fun! And even more fun with friends! ❤️
Quick trip to Atlanta for the weekend. Growing up in Iowa I remember going to the balloon festival; it was so mesmerizing as a kid. I have tried finding a hot air balloon festival to take the boys to and came across the Owl-o-ween festival in Atlanta. It looked incredible! Well the weather was not in our favor and many of the shows were cancelled as well as the balloons. 😔😔
The kids did get to go trick or treating and they saw a few magic acts. Good news is they gave us free tickets for next year. Hoping it’s better weather 🤞🏼 #weekendgetaway #owloween #fallfestivals
Trick or Treating at the Library
Halloween 2017
It was a beautiful, Indian summer Halloween night. I am a tad sad to see it all end 😥; I love the month of October and all of the fun festivities, aka reasons to get dressed up and par—taaaay! I think this month will go down in history as the most festivals we’ve ever attended and between all of them we got a 3 year supply of candy 🤣🙌🏻. I have to say that the neighborhood we live by has the coolest homes I’ve ever seen—they go all out! I loved watching the kids run off and knock doors on their own this year (did make be a bit sad knowing how fast they have grown and how they don’t need my assistance as much). Ending the night counting candy, eating popcorn and watching Charlie Browns Great Pumpkin 🎃#happyhalloween #trickortreat #ilovethesetraditions
