We woke up early, checked out of Legoland and they thought we were going to crayola to meet our friends that we met and gave hurricane relief supplies to last year, little did they know yet were in for a big surprise—Disney!!! They didn’t know what to think when we pulled in.
The first day we went to Hollywood Studios (hit up the new Toy Story Land—so very cool! We got to see the characters from Toy Story, and ride all the rides. I thought Amari would be more excited than he was. He really didn’t want to go on the big rides but we made him. I think he felt proud of himself at the end of it even though I know he’d never go again π; we saw some Star Wars characters—they were both more pumped about that. We met Chewy!! We went to a portion of Indiana Jones. It rained so it shut down most of the show. The boys loved what they saw though).
We spent the last half of the day at Animal Kingdom (my fav). Such a cool place! So much to see and do! We hit Dino land, Asia, Africa, Pandora—we did it all! Pandora was by far the coolest! The Avatar ride was out of this world! All of us wanted to live in that ride, flying on banshees through pandora forever! The tree lighting ceremony and the lantern festival on the water was breathtaking! So so cool!
Day 2
We were able to stay at mikes work friend, Jared and Leslie’s house (only 16 min to disbey). We woke up super early spent the last day of our vacay at the Magic Kingdom. I’m glad we got there as Early as we did, we got to see the opening performance, take our time riding the monorail, taking pics in front of the castle and walking down main street. We also got all of Tomorrowland done with hardly any lines! Amari loved driving his very own race car around the speedway and flying high in the sky above Tomorrowland.
We basically got in all the rides at Disney! I was grateful we didn’t have girls so we could skip being in all the crazy likes to see the princesses πΈπΌ. We rode all the nostalgic rides: dumbo, pirates, Peter Pan, Prince Charming carousel, it’s a Small world (my fav), Aladdin, walked through the Swiss Family Tree House, splash mountain... the rides shut down at big thunder mountain from the rainstorm and we had to wait over an hour but once it worked we were one of the first ones on.
The parade was magical! We had the best spot—the castle right behind us. Not gonna lie, I screamed like a girl when I saw Ariel—just wanted to be part of her world ππ. Beckahm loved seeing Pinocchio and Mickey and Amari got a high five from the chipmunks—his favorite ❤️.
The best part was ending the night watching Happily Ever After on the castle. Mike rarely shows excitement and even he was hootin and hollering. Disney knows how to put on a show! It was spectacular.
It was a RAD vacation. I don’t know if we will ever be back this way so I had to get it all in. Plus when the kids are this little it’s so much more magical! So glad we could make this happen before our big move and before school starts!

Surprise! We are going to Disney World! So fun to surprise the kids! We loved Disney’s Animal Kingdom and Hollywood Studios.
The Lighting of the tree—so much cooler than what I could post—and the light show on the water was so spectacular!
Crayola
Journal:
We took a break from Disney and we drove to Crayola the next day and met up with our friends. It was good seeing them again and getting the update on their life since we saw them last year. They are still displaced and are in a battle with the insurance about getting money to rebuild their home—so sad! So many prayers for them and all of those in that area this hurricane season!
Crayola was pretty rad. We got to make our own personalized crayons with our names on them. We played with play dough, made tons of crafts, watched a demonstration on how they make crayons, and the kids had fun playing with their friends at the play place.

I can’t believe it was a year ago since we met this beautiful family and had the incredible opportunity to provide them much needed items after losing their home to the hurricanes. We have kept in touch over the past year and we are so grateful we were able to be reunited during our recent trip to Florida. Although they are still displaced and battling the insurance company over their home (it sits in the same condition
It was so fun to watch Beckahm and Arianna hit it off. I’m so grateful he’s such a good friend to all he meets.
Praying this hurricane season is minimal for all in this area this year! ππ» ππ»
Leaving St. Augustine, 2.5 hr drive to Orlando to meet up with a family we hold dear to our hearts! So grateful we have kept in touch over the year and were able to take them to Crayola. They still are in need of many prayers as their house is in the same condition since the hurricanes hit last year ππ» ππ». So fun to watch Becks and Arianna connect.
Crayola is so very cool! The kids got to put their artistic skills to the test—they even got to make their own crayon with their name on it π¨
Movie to see Winnie the Pooh! The boys loved it!
Day 2 Disney:
Wakey wakey time for a day at the Magical Kingdom! Cinderella’s castle, Space Mountain, Tomorrowland, Adventure Land—Aladdin Magic Carpet ride, Jungle Cruise, Swiss Family Robinson (my fav); Fantasyland: Peter Pan, It’s a Small World; Pirates of the Caribbean....
Disney Parade (yep, I screamed like a little girl when I saw Ariel—just wanted to be part of her world π§♀️ ). We had the best spot ever—backdrop of the castle π . Amari also got up close and personal with his favorite Disney characters πΏ πΏ (made my day)
Magic tricks while waiting in line (thanks to dad), Splash Mountain π¦, Big Thunder Mtn, and so much more. I love watching the kids faces on the roller coaster rides π π.
Ended the night with Happily Ever After! Mike rarely gets excited about things like this and even he was hootin and howlin π. So so beautiful!
It wouldn’t be a Florida vacation without making a detour to Disney World! The kids had no idea we were finishing off our vacation here—SURPRISE!! The first day we went to Hollywood Studios and Animal Kingdom. They got to meet a lot of the Star Wars characters—they were pumped about our moncurfab4 family photo with Chewy π€π» π. The animal kingdom was so RAD! Such a cool Safari ride where we got to see the animals up close. They did such a good job making it feel like they were in their natural habitat. Pandora was insane! Avatar was our favorite ride—mindblowing! We all wished we could have lived in Pandora forever, riding Banshees the rest of our lives π. The tree lighting ceremony was amazing! The Yeti ride—oh my! I about peed my pants. And the lantern show on the lake was breathtaking—made you feel like you were in Asia. Such a fun first day!
The AVATAR ride! WHAT! So flipping rad!
Breathtaking! We are all ONE light show on the water at Animal Kingdom.
Day 2: Disney World! I’m so grateful we were able to surprise the boys by ending our vacay here. Who knows when we will be back—I had to take advantage. Plus isn’t this just the best age to experience such magical adventures??
So glad we made it an hour early to the park—we got on so many of the rides before all the crazy lines. They seriously should call it “the craziest place on earth!” People are seriously die hard Disney fans.
It was so fun experiencing all the nostalgic rides with the boys—Pirates, Peter Pan, Dumbo, It’s a Small World.
We had the best spot to watch the parade (the chipmunks made Amaris day by coming over and giving him a high five π), and Happily Ever After—mind blowing! Disney knows how to put on a show!
We got wet, we ate all the yummies, we sweat, we waited in lines and then waited some more, we got rained on, we rode all the rides, we got some great souvenirs...we experienced the MAGIC!
Mike capturing the reality of Disney World....waiting, waiting, and more waiting
“And they lived Happily Ever After”
This show made Disney live up to what its known for: “the most magical place on earth!” WOWZAS!
